REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN for the second-annual Inclusion NWT Gumbird Quest! Designed to connect residents virtually during the 2020 lockdown, this year’s edition continues to inspire residents of all ages to compete for amazing prizes in a Covid-safe fashion.
Among the prizes this year is a mysterious, beautiful and humongous egg from an unrevealed species of giant bird etched in the pysanky style courtesy of Frisky Kistky.
Despite the enormity of this awesome avian ovum artwork, there is still room in the nest of prizes for matted art photo prints courtesy of Wildknife Photography, movie passes to Capitol Theatre, City of Yellowknife facility passes, hoodies in a rainbow of colours and other cozy Inclusion NWT swag, and much more!
HOW TO PARTICIPATE?
No fundraising required – The Gumbird Quest is a FUN-raiser, not a fundraiser (although we’d be bird-brained not to accept donations if offered)!
Visit InclusionNWT.ca and register your flock of up to five birds of a feather. Then document bird species listed on the Gumbird Quest scorecard between April 21st & May 7th, while completing the daily Gumbird Challenges (relating to avian facts, pop culture and historical trivia)!
This year, we asked a dozen artists, entrepreneurs, nature-lovers and pop-culture vultures in the community to host 12 Gumbird Challenges, to be shared weekday mornings throughout the competition. Each correct answer to a Gumbird Challenge question earns your team another ballot in the May 7 draw!
(The first 10 flocks of five feathered friends to register also earn an Early Bird ballot!)
